Waste Management's
Penn Warner Club is a private,
protected, year-round facility that
affords its 2,000 members a wide variety
of outdoor recreation activities in
an environment managed for the wildlife
that make this area home. The club
sits adjacent to the GROWS and Tullytown
Landfills. Its two lakes, Manor Lake
and Van Sciver Lake, are stocked with
bass, northern pike, pickerel, walleyes
and striped bass. There is also an
abundance of sunfish, calicoes and
large channel catfish. The Penn
Warner Club has been an integral
part of the Waste Management of Pennsylvania
since the 1930's, serving first as
a hunting and fishing center and currently
operating as a recreational boating,
campground, hunting and fishing retreat.
The club offers accessible open space
interwoven around 2,000 acres of sparkling,
freshwater lakes.
The club's professional
management staff is readily accessible
to members and coordinates special programs
and tournaments throughout the years.
For boaters, The
Penn Warner Club offers many places
to explore, sail, launch and tie up.
There are campsites
surrounding the lakes and throughout
the property. Members who wish the exclusive
use of a camping site may apply for a
private lot.
Waste Management is
dedicated to preserving this open space
and enhancing wildlife habitats. Their
enhancement efforts have resulted in
many varieties of flora and fauna flourishing
on the site and their wildlife program
has earned certification by the Wildlife
Habitat Council. Red fox, beaver, red-bellied
turtles, deer and small game, including
rabbits, pheasants, ducks, geese and
doves are some of the wildlife that inhabit
the Waste Management's properties.
The Penn Warner
Club is just two miles north of
the Pennsylvania Turnpike. For more
